A heart based in the Lowcountry, I’m fond of that pluff mud smell, the joys the ocean brings, and the small town feeling that comes with growing up on Hilton Head Island, SC. I fell in love with photography as a teenager, capturing moments that I knew would become memories I didn’t want to forget.
I document intentional and blissful weddings in the Hilton Head and Bluffton area. I travel often with Maui, Costa Rica, and Australia, being amongst my favorite destinations.

“When we started looking for photographers for our destination wedding, I had a certain style in mind: whimsical, fun, and genuine. But I didn’t know where to begin. I reached out to family in the area to see if they had any recommendations or had seen wedding photos that matched what I was envisioning. My godmother shared photos from a bride she knew, and after scrolling through them, I knew I wanted Summer as our photographer.
I’m so lucky we chose her.
We were planning more than a year out and had to organize everything via email and video calls, which made the whole process feel overwhelming—except when it came to working with Summer. She was a calm presence throughout it all. I truly felt like she wanted to capture what mattered most to us. The final photos were the perfect mix: beautiful family portraits, intimate moments between my husband and me, and all the laughter and tears shared with our friends.
I tend to get a little camera-shy and self-conscious, but Summer made me feel beautiful and confident. Now I have pictures that not only reflect how incredible the day was but also how seen and celebrated I felt in those moments.
